The 161st winner of the 2000 Guineas, held on Wednesday 30th April 1969 over the Rowley Mile, was Right Tack (15/2), a bay colt by Hard Tack out of Polly Macaw, owned by Mr Jim Brown. The winner won by 2 1/2 lengths in 1 minute 41.65 secs, with a head back to the third. A field of 13 runners contested the race which was worth £24,757 (Equivalent to £393,600 in 2017)
